Park Place Lexus Reveals New Luxury Hybrid

Park Place Lexus recently hosted parties at its Grapevine and Plano dealerships to debut the 2010 Lexus HS250h, the most fuel-efficient luxury vehicle in the U.S. with an unprecedented blend of advanced technology and sustainable materials.

Guests enjoyed a delicious spread of kebabs and humus prepared by NYLO Hotels. Rain Organics created signature drinks like the Lexus Lemonade with flavored vodkas like Lavender Lemonade, Honey Mango Melon and Cucumber Lime. Orange Cup Natural Yogurt served sundaes with a variety of delectable toppings.

Green Mountain Energy worked with guests to determine their carbon footprint and offer suggestions on ways to reduce their environmental impact.

The new Lexus HS250h combines a 2.4-liter, four-cylinder engine with electric motors and a battery pack to achieve a total system output of 187 horsepower. A continuously variable transmission and front-wheel drive round out a drivetrain with fuel economy in the mid-to-high 30s.

Standard amenities include power windows and doors, SmartAccess with push-button Start/Stop and touch sensors on exterior front-door handles, a power moonroof, and leather-trimmed seats. Optional are a heads-up display and a navigation system with a remote-touch controller.

Plant-based plastics, castor oil and natural fibers are some of the sustainable materials used to lower CO2 emissions by 20% over the vehicle's life cycle. And, unlike conventional vehicles, the ultra-efficient climate control isn't powered by the gas engine, but by electricity. Plasmacluster ionizer technology helps reduce airborne mold spores, microbes, fungi, odors, germs and bacteria.

The HS250h also offers Lexus? new Enform system, which has operators standing by to look up destinations and beam directions to the navigation system or even suggest area restaurants and make reservations for you.
